DOCUCONTENT FOR CYCLE BRAND SEARCH AND STATE.

In June 2014, Search and State commissioned Joseph Holway to deliver the fist S2R Performance Jersey from their sewing room in Manhattan to Golden Saddle Cyclery in Los Angeles. He completed the 3,000 mile journey in 21 days by bicycle, alone and unsupported. Joseph documented his trip solely through the use of his iPhone. COMMANDR set out to bring his story to life.

At the start of this project, we knew we had something special on our hands. We had an incredible story, but beyond that, all we had was a folder full of iPhone photos. The imagery certainly spoke for itself, but we knew that in its raw state it would not do justice to Joseph’s emotional experience. After some head scratching and late night coffee binging, we decided that these photos needed to live and breathe the journey. By implementing 3D camera projection techniques, sound design, extensive color grading and layering, COMMANDR was able to bring Joseph’s story to life by infusing the same vitality he experienced on the road into the raw imagery captured along the way.
